Well, that might not sound like a big deal - but we had a bunch of stuff happen to the front of our building at 211 Newbridge Rd. over the last several months.  It started off with a mild "Nor-Easter" several months ago which caused our cute little awning in front to come "half-off"..  Since that didn't look too professional, we made arrangements with our awning guy Luis Pasten to fix it.  Then he said - "Oh, Karen, I don't like the way it's looking - let me make you a new one - at cost!"  This sounded good, so we went ahead with that. 

In the mean-time a kid decides to drag race up Newbridge and lands up on our front lawn!  Fortunately no one was injured except our property  - the front lawn  was torn up and our sign smashed.  So that means a new sign, too.  Again our sign guys, Signarama, came through and now we are looking pretty sharp - new awning, new sign.  Still in business, still enjoying helping people in this real estate market.   We've weathered the storm twice before - 1982-1984 when interest rates went to 18% and again in the early 90's when prices dropped like a rock.  Oh, well, this too shall pass! It's a GREAT Market!

Here is a Summary of last week’s Real estate activity in Hicksville, N.Y. 11801:A fairly SLOW week (probably due to the Memorial day weekend)

The best deal of the week appears to be the corporate owned 4 bedroom, 2bath Handy-Dandy cape on 60 x 110’ lot with partial dormer & full basement listed at $364,500. It is on a nice quiet block in a well-kept area of Hicksville within a short distance to stores & transit.
